AFTER-SCHOOL

Emor After-School is geared towards helping our children harness and develop a relationship with the unique and infinite greatness within.

Our adventure towards discovering our true selves will take us through the profound depths of Jewish tradition, wisdom and values, the meaningful beauty of Shabbat and the holidays, Hebrew language (basic phrasing) and blessings, our holy Torah and spiritual relativism, current issues and Jewish history.

Learning is done through music, drama, storytelling, arts and crafts, culinary art, technology, field trips, community service and,

of course, laughter, love and joy!

Our objective, however, is more than just having an extraordinary experience in class.  Our goal is to take what we learn in school and bridge it out into the world around us – inspiring our family, our friends, our community - with the light of our learning.  As a matter of fact, we look at the classroom as the place for preparation, while the outside world is where the lessons we learn are brought to life.  So in our unique "class", we know we're not just in "Hebrew School", meeting once a week for a couple of hours to just learn the basics of Judaism...We're learning and preparing to change the world, to make it a better place - for us and for all to come.
